Barony of Bolbec
in the county of Northumberland
This title is held by several people
I have been doing some more research of the Barony of Bolbec and have found that this title as being held by the 21st Baron and Baroness of Bolbec, Northumberland.
That has to be a fictitious title as there was never a 21st Baron or Baroness of Bolbec. The title was subdivided between many family members several hundred years ago and I have traced a degree of lineage of holders to this day. Family members.
The Dutton' 32nd part of the barony descended to William Henry Dutton, who sold it in 1857 to Thomas Bates of Aydon and Heddon. So, as you can see, there was no 21st Baron or Baroness as the title had been subdivided between some 34 family members.
No one since 1200 had the full title, it was divided between 4 family member at first.
I have a large file of this title but it cannot be acquired or sold.
